Michele Vahsen Arnold
Executive Director & Co-Founder
Michele Arnold is Executive Director and Co-Founder, with her husband Tony Arnold, of Inside the Wire Foundation – an end-to-end structured program designed to address many of the root causes of challenges – homelessness, underemployment or unemployment and high suicide rate – facing today’s Veterans.
Mrs. Arnold has been actively involved in non-profit organizations throughout her life and started focusing on helping active duty military and Veterans in 2008 when she and her husband’s son entered the United States Naval Academy. As the daughter of a US Army West Point graduate who served multiple tours in Vietnam and the mother of two active duty sons, Mrs. Arnold has witnessed and experienced first-hand the difficulties facing active duty military when they return to civilian life. Her desire to assist and honor the men and women who honorably served the United States through military service is what propelled her vision.
Mrs. Arnold graduated with highest honor with a Bachelor of Science – Finance from Florida Institute of Technology and is a certified Paralegal. Mrs. Arnold has worked across multiple industries – recreational/retail, non-profits, banking, finance and Internet start-ups, in various capacities including Vice President, and she has owned and operated several small successful companies. Mrs. Arnold also has volunteered extensively during the past 25 years including but not limited to room mother, PTSA committee chairs, PTSA President, coach, referee, Board of Directors – AYSO Region 1046 and Region 37, Trauma Intervention Program of Corona volunteer, church volunteer and program coordinator, animal foster and rescue. Mrs. Arnold recently launched a printing and design firm, Warriors and Woofs Designs, that donates a portion of its profits to support the Inside the Wire Foundation vision.
She and her husband currently reside in Huntington Beach and have four sons – two actively serving in the US Military – cats, dogs and a growing saltwater aquarium collection.
Tony R. Arnold
Chairman & Co-Founder
Tony Arnold is Chairman and Co-Founder, with his wife Michele Arnold, of Inside the Wire Foundation which provides “front-door” programs and services for America’s Warfighters to facilitate their transition from military to civilian culture.
In addition to performing the ITWF Chairman role, Mr. Arnold is Senior Manager at Accenture LLC focusing on Business Transformations and Systems Implementations for the largest and most successful companies in the world. In addition, Mr. Arnold is the Supply Chain Leader for Accenture LLC – Life Sciences, West. Prior to his current role, Mr. Arnold has led large corporations as a Corporate Executive Leader and also led businesses as President and General Manager. Mr. Arnold has presented globally across many Fortune Top 25 companies, businesses & universities, including Georgetown University, and at companies in Paris, Germany, Singapore, Ireland, London, and across the United States of America. Mr. Arnold is also an instructor at Global Accenture Management Consulting University.
For over 25 years, Mr. Arnold has acquired the skill sets to develop, implement and execute transitions and mindset transformations. His vast experience in all areas of transformation, from the psychological aspects to the detailed technical components, makes him an industry expert. Mr. Arnold has utilized the leading practices and his proven experiences to shape the “Evolution” program as an end-to-end program with the framework, artifacts, resources, and easy-to-integrate procedures to be successful. The program is also structured to be expandable and scalable to allow Inside the Wire Foundation to broaden its reach and to positively impact and embrace more Veterans in more cities.
Mr. Arnold is passionate about assisting our Veterans as he has a family heritage of serving – including a father who served in the United States Navy during WWII and two sons currently active duty in the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps. Mr. Arnold has worked with the Services for his entire career, and he sees the negative realities of unsuccessful transitions within his community and the country.
Mr. Arnold has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from University of Texas and is a Lean Six-Sigma Master Black Belt. Mr. Arnold is also past-chair of ASQ Section 509 and volunteers throughout his community.
